I have been doing some reading on BB creams since I don't yet own one but I can't help but hear the hype! I read that it originated in Asia and that only recently in 2012 has it made its way to North America. I also read that western bb creams have been accused of missing key beneficial ingredients that make a a bb cream significant from Asia, and that they are nothing more than tinted moisturizer with the name BB cream here in North America. I wasn't pleased to see that and now I'm skeptical of which to buy because I don't want to waste my money. I already have a tinted moisturizer so yeah I want a real BB cream.. Suggestions?

Asian BB creams usually have this weird gray undertone - it looks especially bad in flash photography. To avoid it, try mixing Asian BB cream with a foundation of your shade, or in your case, you can mix an Asian-branded BB cream with your tinted moisturizer!

Skin79, the pink bottle, is a popular choice!

Skinfood BB creams are great! And you can buy them on eBay for like, 7 dollars or something. You just have to choose the best one for your skin type, Skinfood has a lot of BB cream options.

I've had trouble with drugstore (US) foundations breaking me out, etc. Until I invested in Asian BB creams! I've stuck with Skin79, and I like it.(I have the orange bottle) I know that Skin79 has a mini collection of their bb creams, and I would advise it, since you're new to them. I bought Maybelline's bb cream not to long ago for a backup, and it was horrible compared to the skin79 version! :(

They are alright if you don't mind the lack of benefits they are intended for. They are pretty much tinted moisturizers, as you said, and I've heard the most popular one is garnier. I want to try an Asian bb cream, too.

Thanks I checked both of those out and they are both on eBay. Skinfood has so many options I'm not sure which would be best lol!

I really like missha perfect am bb cream. It comes in 4 different shades. If you shop on eBay, try seller roseroseshop. She sells the real deal, carries a ton of different brands of bb creams and frequently has specials.
