Should you really be damaging your natural nails like that...

That has nothing to do with the question I asked. I'm not drilling my natural nail.

Maybe you should leave it for the professionals!! Haha! I tried to do my own once and it was a disaster. Good luck.

Maybe you should try using the white tips with the acrylic.

I did my own as a teenager, I have since switched to gel just out of personal preference. 1. Push cuticles back and trim dead skin
2. Make sure nails are clean of oils, whether natural or synthetic, and dust or file grit
3. Use a good primer or bonding aid.

For me I have deep set nails...almost like yours..and my cuticles come far out on my nail. I would oil mine and push them back, file or buff my nail, wash my hands and dry REALLY good, even pat the cuticle dry then apply your bonding aid.

Good luck!

It looks like you are getting too close to the cuticle. If you are too close or on the skin, lifting will always happen. Try applying a thinner coat close to the cuticle.

Are you using proper bonder on your natural nail before you apply the acrylic? I did my own acrylics for a while and if I used a cheaper bonder that would happen. On a side note I love the shape of them. And that they have just enough acrylic not heavy handed.

They look infected or you are allergic to the product or both. Take them off and see a pro.

Hi, I'm a cosmetologist! first you need to rough up your natural nail a bit so the acrylic has something to grab onto- that will stop lifting. don't get it on your cuticles, and when you dip your brush in the liquid make sure to let some of it drain before picking up the powder- too much liquid in the brush makes it too hard to work with! drills are fine to use as long as its not on your natural nail!
if the liquid is old or not being stored properly that can also be why the nails are so brittle.
good luck!
