I really love doing makeup and I want to do it professionally. I'm currently a waitress and attend community college for fashion deaign. Where do I start??

You would need to find a makeup school. use google to search for some in your area.

You could also try getting a job as a counter girl. they can be hard to get with no experience but it will give you a fast hands on education.
