I have the same problem skin and I love tarte's bb cream tinted moisturizer. I mix it with a little foundation when I want more coverage. Love it!

American bb creams are just tinted moisturizers. I would recommend you buy an Asian bb cream. They help with fading hyperpigmentation, wrinkle improvement/prevention, and have added sunscreen in them. The one I use that is amazing is skin79's hot pink bb cream. It's for oily skin so if you have dry skin use skin79's gold label bb cream! You can find them on prettyandcute.com.

Skin79 Hot Pink Super Plus. It works beautifully and I'm very oily. Won't use anything else. The Garnier broke me out something fierce.

Garnier has a new formula just for oily/combination skin and it works wonderfully with my skin. When I apply just a touch of finishing powder I'm good for the day. Doesn't oxidize, no fragrance or acne to speak of. I now reach for this more than my Bobbi Brown or Smashbox bb creams.

Coverage is good. Medium but buildable. I use Urban Decay's Deslick to set it and I might have to powder just a tiny bit in the afternoon. I've tried all kinds of foundations and BB creams, but hot pink super plus is the one that works for me. Been using it about two years. I'm acne-prone too.

Skin79 Hot Orange is a matte version of the Hot Pink. I have dry skin and use their Hot Pink one because I like the finish - it does cater to your skin type. But if you want a matte finish I recommend the Orange one. I agree with Amanda - MOST American BBs are crap.

Bonnie - now you know! ;) Also, the orange is a slightly darker pigmentation when put into skin, but has the same self-adjusting qualities as other Asian BBs.

I have combo oily and have tried lots! These are my favorite:
Bobbi Brown BB cream, Too faced Air Buffed BB cream (but not with the brush it comes with pleaase), and Skin79 orange one if you are very pale.
