Gel is easier to apply but I don't like how it it creases, liquid, I find, is harder to apply but lasts longer. I like liquid better.

I like gel and cream liner. It easier to learn to do and get it really nice and neat.

Both of them work really great but if your going for a more dramatic look definitely use gel liner!

Hi Tinashe,
Both are great and what everyone else said is very true. In addition, you have a bit more playing time with a gel liner if you want to blend it out or if you mess up and need to take a q-tip for a quick fix. While on the other hand, liquid dries very fast and the color and intensity do have a longer wear time.
If using either is new to you, try using a dense angled brush too - it will help to get a precise line.

Gel is easier to work with but liquid will give you higher color intensity.

Gel liner is easy to use but it creases and will give you panda-eyes after several hours of wear. I recommend applying black eyeshadow on top of the gel eyeliner to avoid creasing and stuffs.
Liquid eyeliners stay longer and the color is more intense. I recommend getting a felt-tip liquid liner because it's so easy to use compared to the brush ones.
Try: Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner / Lancome Artliner / Stila Liquid Eyeliner

I love gel. It's so much easier to work with, and it stays all day long. I like the bobbi brown gel liner and tarte.

Prefer gel because it is easy to work with. Many people don't like liquid because it is hard to maneuver. I love Maybelline master precision liquid liner. It is my favorite and super skinny which makes it easy to work with.
