Cropped jean jackets. Outfit ideas?

I am 5'0" and really want a cropped jean jacket. I have an idea to wear it with this black strapless maxi dress, but I don't want to buy one if I only wear it with that dress. I was looking at a couple from F21 and Old Navy, for reference. Please post pics if you own one and outfits to wear with. Thanks in advance!

You can wear these with anything really. Leggings and a long shirt, floral dresses with combat boots, any dress will work really.
