It usually takes me about 45 Minutes to an hour to do a full face makeup application. I do not want to skimp on my work, and I give all my clients 100%, even bridesmaids, special events etc. Do any of you have any tips? I try to hold a couple brushes in my hand at a time and was even looking at the paw palette.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have my products nearby in the right order... So I don't need to look or think what to use next. But considering you're a pro like me I assume you already do that ;) Maybe giving that much attention and time is your speciality. And I find that I get faster as I gain more and more experience... Keep your cool cause working fast or rushing can make the client feel uncomfortable. And don't poke someone's eye out with all the brushes in your hand :p
Good luck

Before I go into a makeup I really think about what I'm going to do, step by step; I'm not making it up as I go along unless it's a creative shoot. I put my kit out in pretty much the same way every time so I don't have to look for things, and that layout tends to be in the order that I use things. While I'm doing something I'm thinking about what I'm going to do next and where the things I need are in my set up. Sometimes I make a game of it with myself, seeing how fast I can turn out a makeup. Speed will just come with time.:)

Best advice is to know what look you are going to create and make sure the communication is clear between you and the client. You will not believe what the look "natural" is translated to lol. I find it saves me so much more time rather than having to wipe everything off and trying it all over again...ain't nobody got time for that!
