I made a stupid choice and dyed mine bright red with a permeant dye and it faded to a orange , you can't wash it with warm water or it well wash out the dye very fast. And you can't go swimming or it will turn orange ( bad idea for summer ) after my experience with red hair I tried to dye over it with a permeant dark brown dye and it just faded back to orange.

My friend has hers a very right red and she keeps it in top shape like it hasn't faded. She told me that she doesn't shower everyday and uses stuff to hold the color. But is it worth it? I'd have to bleach and dye it. I love it tho

I had mine black.. Then blonde.. Then one day I came home from work and decided.. I'm going red.. Worst thing I ever did.. I have to pay £130 everytime I want it doing now, as I'm going back to blonde, it can't only be gradual, my hair is so dry and horrid off the amount of times I tried to put it right! But yours might be different, go see you're hairdresser and just make sure it's the best thing to do! :)

I've always done my hair at home. I've had red, black and blonde, and now it's back to my natural hair color and I recently ombred it. It's not that hard to do your hair and it be healthy. Just use lots of hair masks and such, don't wash your hair every dau, etc. I personally loved having my hair red.

I've never had any problems with having red hair an mine is naturally a medium brown, I've had red hair for about 3 years and I love it! Go for it :) (riveting reds shampoo and conditioner from Sally's works really good)

Red hair doesn't last. Its hard go take care of. I had mine super red and it lasted me 2 weeks and turned orange.

I just dyed my hair a dark red kinda like that. Just don't bleach it because bleach is so bad for your hair and with bleach I heard it fades into a weird color :( I got mine similar to that without it, and my hair was almost black. :)
