Ok the photo isn't great, but I have this sore bump right on the tragus of my right ear.
I don't want it to explode and become this huge red oozing thing but I don't know what to put on it to stop it in it's tracks... Any suggestions?

Looks like an infection, are your ears pierced?

@F F. yep my ear lobes are pierced, but that's it.

@Raeline M. I bet that's my problem! I have gotten way off the "healthy habits" wagon, that's for sure. Basically all I drink during the week is COFFEE! Ugh I knew I needed to snap back into it with my water intake but this just proves it. THANKS!

Natalie, get it checked by your Dr...

Ok, could it be a staff infection? Or have you used a new kind of earring or put ones on straight from the store? Just pierced or not? Pierced and hardly wear earrings? Raeline has some interesting information there and could be useful! It couldn't hurt, if it doesn't do away, I also agree to go see a dr.

The best thing to do for now is leave it alone and see if it comes to the surface on its own or goes away. A hot compress is always good.

What Amanda said. It just looks like a zit, don't panic. Hot compress, and some 2.5% benzoyl peroxide 2x a day. And yeah, drink your water =]

Try placing some ice on it to reduce the swelling

Those hurt like hell :( I would do compresses & maybe dab tea tree on it. You may even try a tiny bit of steroid cream to bring down the inflammation.

A pimple on your ear is in no way related to your kidney function. That's just nonsense.

I get those all the time
If I wear earrings made of cheap metal. I think it's a cyst. Ice it and take aspirin to take down the swelling. I used a needle to poke through mine and it leaked clear fluid for days before shrinking. Wouldn't recommend that though. Just try and leave it be and maybe check to see if you have any sensitivity to metals.
