Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem. I just bought the Make Up Forever HD Foundation and it seemed to match in the store. The lady at the store matched me to #123. But when I used it for a night outing with the girls it made me look terribly ashy! I never seemed to have this problem with my Bare Minerals previously.

Is this because it is too dark? The shade matches olive undertones but I'm guessing I'm more of a yellow then. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance! :)

Medium Beige.

Sometimes foundation can look ashy, it has nothing to do with the color, its.just the way the foundation dries and changes, try it out one more time but if it happens again I would return it.

Did you set it with a powder after application?

Yea I've tried it twice with the same results. I'm going to return it and try another shade with yellow undertones instead.

@Danika J, yes I did. But it was ashy both prior and post powder application.

Make sure to test it in natural light along the jawline. Also, if you go to sephora they'll give you a sample that usually lasts about 4 or 5 days so you can test it and make sure it works for you before you buy it.

Thanks. Yes I did get mine from Sephora. Will definitely go for the samples to test it out.

Try a sample of #127...I wear medium beige in BareMinerals also, and 127 worked best for me. Good luck!

Thanks a lot Daenielle and Jacqueline.

Yea I looked at the options and was thinking either #120 or #127. But yea will have a look at #140 as well.

Thanks guys. I ended up exchanging it to the #127 shade which is a better match.
