I recently bought two UD eyeshadows in Midnight Rodeo and Midnight Cowboy Rides Again and I was a little disappointed. There's a lot of glitter fall out. I'm pretty sure that's two of their most popular shades. What do you all think of UD eyeshadows?? Any favorite shades?

I know what you mean about the fallout. Most of the shadows I have from UD seem to do that and have some sort of glitter. I just try to tap off as much excess as I can before applying.

I'll give that a try next time. And the glitter is a booger to get off of your face where you don't want glitter! Lol.

UD naked basics palette is by far my favorite. No shimmer. All matte shades! Except one color I think. I use that as a highlight.

I do have that palette and it is the best! I forgot that was UD!

Push it on with your brush , instead of sweeping it across the lid. Works for me , and I keep a clean large face powder brush to brush off any falling glitter.

Great idea Holly! Push don't sweep :)

You mean just kinda dab it on the eyelid?
Mar 25, 2013
Eileen A.
Yes. Instead of sweeping it across the lid. I could see how that minimizes fallout.

Yes

Ok, I'll give that a try! Thanks for the tip :)

Yes, pack it on instead of swiping across the lid. And make sure to use a primer. But some shadows just have that fallout no matter what =\ b
But I love UD shadows!!

I love them so much.

Just do your eye makeup first, remove any fallout with a makeup wipe, and then continue on with your normal face makeup routine.

Agree with all the great suggestions above, and wanted to add one other: use a sticky base like a cream eyeshadow or a primer made to keep glitter in place ( Too Faced has one called glitter glue) that in combination with pushing or patting the eyeshadow on instead of sweeping helps to minimize fallout. Also wanted to mention that UD makes a lot of shadows that don't contain any glitter :)

Naked pallets are powder.

Wear a primer, tap out excess and press the color into your lid.

Any shadows that have actual glitter in them usually will have some fallout, I actually don't like any ud shadows with glitter I stick to their.shimmers satins (sellout is my fave) and mattes.

You can always do your eye makeup first to reduce all the glitter on your face. That's what I do when I use my UD Naked Palettes. Also pat to reduce as much fall out. If you want to do your face makeup first, apply extra translucent powder under your eyes & sweep it all away once you're finished or you can hold a tissue under your eye.
