Hey ladies, I've been wanting to get my hair to a light color for the warm weather. My hair was a dark brown almost black. I refuse to damage my healthy hair with bleach or box dye. So I made a little recipe for my hair out of honey, olive oil and dandruff shampoo. I placed it in my hair as if I was dying it, left it down and went off and did some house work. I even went and sat outside in the sun and read a book :) after a couple of hours later I washed it out, conditioned my hair and dried it. The honey lifted my hair from almost black to a very light brown with blonde tones.

The sun will speed up the lightening process by a lot. The shampoo was Equate dandruff.

Depending on how dark your hair is and how long its been since you dyed your hair. Being in the sun speeds up the process. You can use a hair dryer if you don't want to be in the sun.
