Boots okay for Spring?

I bought two great pairs of Frye boots. Unfortunately I live in the intermountain west so I can't wear them during the winter because all of the snow and the salt on the ground will ruin leather. Are boots okay for spring? What aabout suede wedges?

Muaha, I live in the UK so boots are great year round in my opinion, appart from that 1 week of hot sun we get lmao.
