I've had the bad habit of biting my nails since I was a kid, and now I'm 20! There's only been aabout two or three times I've managed to let them grow out when I was younger (thankfully they grow fast) but now that I'm older, I bite them subconsciously. Any suggestions or methods you've tried to stop biting nails?

Yeah I usually paint my nails a color I really like, then I don't end up biting. :)

There's polish out there specifically made for people like you! It goes on clear (they might even have colors out there too I don't know) and tastes bitter so you won't want to bite. Also, I used to bit my nails, rip and peel them to the quick. I think what made me stop was that I just didn't want to do it. :)

Hmm I used to bite my nails and one day I just had enough of my horrible nails and stopped biting them. That was four years ago and I have not bitten them since. I used the polish but I still bit them but try it as I might work for you. Buying yourself nice nail care products and polishes can help aswell. Goodluck.

Thanks, ladies. It seems like painting my nails is the way to go! I'll look for the polish with the bad taste lol. Olivia, hopefully I'll only have to stick it out for 21 days and be cured of this habit!
