I'm an artist and am trying to come up with a concept for a tattoo that I'd like to get later in life. I'm just trying out designs on paper for now, and if I like them in a couple of years or so, then I know that they're right for me. Thing is, I'm having some sort of artist's block right now. I'm in a slump, so I thought I'd ask you guys. I'd like a tattoo that would incorporate the biggest struggles of my life and me overcoming them. I'm an ovarian cancer survivor, so I'm leaning towards a teal ribbon being the main theme of the design. I'm also tough, I wrestle and do weightlifting and I intend to start a bodybuilding career sometime soon. My issue with this is that the, "flowiness," of the ribbon clashes with the bold toughness I also want to portray in the design. By, "toughness," I mean that I would enjoy something with strong primary colors and striking patterns or jagged lines, etc. I apologize for this being quite long, but do you guys have any suggestions?

Maybe the ribbon with a quote that relates to both things

Your ribbon could be holding something up- showing that even though its delicate it's still strong maybe?

Thanks, ladies! @Bree, I really like that design! I'll try to incorporate something a bit similar.
