Elf cosmetics are great some are really good like the brushes and setting spray and cleansing for brushes..I do recommend which is totally my own opinion:)

I love elf!! The studio line which are $3 are really food quality. I own a lot of their products.

They are really hit and miss. Their brushes are amazing for the the price though. The eyeshadows are fine if you use an eyeshadow primer but do not get the baked eyeshadows. I was let down. There is next to no pigment =[ pretty colors in it though, you just have to pack em on good.

The brushes and eyebrow treat and tame are perfect. I also like their eye primer and cream eyeshadows. Oh, and I recently found out about MUA (a British budget brand) and everything I've bought from them so far is awesome.

I started out with MAC but just bought my first elf all in one palette and I absolutely love it especially the eye shadows- very pigmented and great colors- I personally just buy whatever I see that may complement my skin and eyes or contacts :) research!

Right now- Groupon.com has a 141 eye, face, lips palette elf with some brushes for $23. It seems like a great way to start.
