Beauty Blender Cleanser Really Needed?

Do you REALLY need it or can you DIY using at home stuff? There are mixed reviews and therefore in hopes some of you can help with any info! :) Thankies!

I use baby shampoo, which I use for my brushes as well. Plus the beauty blender cleanser stinks IMO

I don't mind the scent of the BB cleanser at all, personally. I bought it because the container design is genius: the one touch pump dispenser for the cleanser (which I use on all my brushes), and the little well on the cap which allows my BB to air dry rapidly (and keeps it off the dirty countertop). It's very convenient.
