Is it worth it? or just hype?
I value all your opinions way higher than my make up counter ladies haha!

I currently use sponge wedges, but I'm always throwing them away and having to buy new!! can you reuse a blender?

what do you think, should I invest?

Beauty blender is reusable :) I like mine... I don't love it tho, but I think it's because I like a brush for foundation. You use the beauty blender damp and it feels neat stippling your foundation on with it. the tapered tip helps get by the nose and eye areas!

Hi Lucy,

I personally love the Beauty Blender. I've used it with just about every type of foundation (love it for buffing in mineral foundation) - and it does have a cleaning system. Just like any other brush you use regularly, you'll want to clean it at least once every 2 weeks.

I adore it. Never liked sponges or brushes but my mom bought me the Beauty blender a month ago and it's the best thing ever. It works so well, it's reusable and all you have to do is rinse it after every use and then clean it occasionally. It doesn't leave any lines and my foundation always looks flawless. I would recommend to it anyone!

Wow I might have to give it a try, yeah I used to use a brush but I just found it sooo time consuming, I found myself obsessing over every little streak and spending ages smoothing it all in! with a sponge I just dab it in when I'm frustrated and set with powder!

I deffo will be on the hunt for one of these now..!

I have it and LOVE it!! It's definitely. worth the money!

I love it! It's a vital part of my makeup bag :) Like Megan said, it doesn't leave any lines, but blend the foundation perfectly. It's especially useful when you want to achieve a fresh and youthful look - without too much makeup. You can check my videos where I used it and see it in action (Barbara Palvin Makeup Tutorial). I hope this will back-up your decision to buy it :)

I love it, you can't really go wrong with it. It blends everything amazingly. I would say that they are just about worth the price but me and my friend bought a pack of 2 and split the cost to make it cheaper.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on one there are many others. I got one from marshalls for $5.

I just got my beauty blender three days ago and I loooove it! Most of my favorite makeup artists utilize the beauty blender. It's given my face a wonderful finish and blends beautifully!..I would definitely recommend it!

I use the london soho beauty sponge and it works just as great. It expands when it;s wet and it's ice and bouncy.

Just remember to dampen it before using it, because if you don't, it'll suck up your foundation/concealer.

If you want to save money you can buy the sephora brand version for half the price and it works the same way.

We don't have sephora in the UK :( there are a lot of dupes on ebay but ima bit scared coa they'll probably just be like a make up sponge surely? do cosmo do a version? it seems like sonething they would have in their make up tools range...

I recently stopped using any type of sponge because it soaks in my good products. I switched to a foundation brush and it blurs and blends beautifully. Urban Decay's Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush is excellent and doesn't waste any makeup. Good for any type of coverage, I put a good dot of foundation on the top or my hand like its a paint palette and swirl the brush and go! :)

I have tried a beauty blender knock off and was not impressed at all. It just soaked up all my foundation and didn't put much of it on my skin. I still had to use a brush after. So now I just stick with my brush. I even dampened it before use and it still just soaked it all up anyway. I'm much more happy with my real techniques buffing brush. I get very blended foundation, good coverage and use much less product.

Like I said. Dampen the sponge first or the foundation will be sucked up.

I like it a lot but I find that it is hard to get it really clean. Maybe I'm just crazy but I never feel like its clean enough! Lol.

I did dampen it and it still sucked up the foundation lol. So it just didn't work for me.
I'm with you Jacqueline H., it does not thrill me at all and I'm glad I never wasted money on the actual thing and only wasted $6 on the dupe. I can't even use mine for concealer. Its just more of a hassle to try to get it to work than just using a brush.
