Hey there! So my nails have started to peel throughout the winter, grrr Idk why this has never happened before! They still grow long and I've noticed that the peeling is only on my free edge, not on the nail bed.. Any treatment advice is appreciated :)

Mine have always done that because of my various deficiencies (Vitamin K, Iron, Potassium). Check with your doctor and see if you're having some kind of supplemental problem and ask about a multivitamin. :) In the meantime try and keep them moisturized and don't leave them soaking in water (wear gloves when washing dishes, don't wash your hands a million times a day like I have to, etc.).

Yeah, frequent washing can weaken the nails because they are constantly exposed to water. I work in a coffee shop so I have to wash all the time and it is hell on my hands. :/
