Okay so I was at a kiosk at the mall and this saleswoman tested out this Sutra Beauty flat iron on my hair. I was so amazed by how good it worked and she totally convinced me that it was good. It is 100% ceramic plates which is so rare and it supposedly doesn't heat damage hair whatsoever. anyway the saleswoman started the price at $120 and after much begging for me to get it, she lowered the price down to $86. I looked on amazon and it's $46. so my question is, is this Sutra Beauty Flat Iron worth it? Is the one on amazon real?

I have a Sedu and it was pricier but works great.

Can't speak to Sutra's quality but I can tell you that ceramic plates are pretty standard now.

The saleswoman was saying that almost all of the flat irons that claim they are made of ceramic, are actually not because they just coat a thin layer of the clamps with ceramic so it's kind of a scam :/ I don't know if she was just telling me that so I would buy it if if it was the truth

I can assure you that many flat irons at or above that price are ceramic/tourmaline or a combination.

I also find it interesting that she was prepared to cut the price so drastically. It's likely that the Amazon one is real, suggesting that the mall kiosk was selling at s huge markup.

To add to what Leuca said, there is no such thing as zero heat damage when applying heat to your hair. The ceramic plates are supposed to have less drag on the surface and conduct heat more consistently and all of that can cause less damage overall but none of that negates the heat actually touching (and ultimately doing the damage to) your hair.
