Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a new shampoo and conditioner. I have colour treated hair and my hair has become dry with lots of split ends however the hair near my scalp can become quite oily. I also have extremely sensitive skin. I'm open to your suggestions but I'm looking for something affordable. What do you suggest?

I have the same problem, my scalp gets oily pretty quick. what I do to get rid of the split ends is to trim it every month and massage it with coconut oil at least twice a week.

I like to cowash since I shower everyday but don't want to constantly lather up my hair. My scalp tends to be oily so this has worked to keep my scalp fresh without drying my ends.

Right now I'm using the Giovanni blackberry and coconut milk conditioner for that purpose. Twice a week I do a shampoo with aveeno original body wash.

Dumb question but what is cowash?

It's essentially "washing" with conditioner. The oils/emollients in the conditioner emulsify the oil your scalp produces and rinse away leaving your hair nice and soft. It takes a little while to get used to, since you're massaging conditioner into your scalp which seems counterintuitive, but so far it seems to be doing well.

Your hair products should have as little silicone as possible for this method; preferably none. They're the hardest ingredients for your conditioner to break down to rinse away if you want to use this method.

I massage it into my scalp, use a wide toothed comb to distribute the excess through the rest of my hair, then rinse it out after doing everything else before I get out of the shower. Feel free to massage your scalp to help the product rinse away better. You'll start to feel where it is finished rinsing off.
