I'm finally going to the dermatologist next after after struggling with acne for quite some time and never really getting good results on my own. I just want to know if there's anything I should know ahead of time before I go. Suggestions on gels/creams that work, anything I should take with me, etc. Thanks!

I would definitely go clean faced so the dermatologist can see your skin clearly. I would bring what you are currently using and things that you've used in the past that didn't work for you. A lot of cosmetic dermatologists sell skincare products. Mine carries SkinCeuticals.
