I also have that kind of hair. I recommend not using g shampoo but rather a cleansing conditioner or sulfate free shampoo. I only use shampoo on my roots not on the actual hair
also make sure your hair is detangled because tangles can cause knots and damage
keep your hair moisturized!! water is a natural moisturizer but their are products that moisturize as well. make sure when using those products water is the first ingredient
oils and butters do Not moisturize, they simply seal in moisture, so when applying product to your hair make sure you apply the moisturizer first and then a sealant. if you are using a curl cream or gel or anything to define curls I would suggest putting water on your hair first and then the curl cream or gel or both. and then an oil.
especially as the weather gets colder and dryer it will definitely dry out your hair
don't be afraid to use hair protective style like braids, twists, bantu knots. this is something that will make your hair grow because it is less manipulation to your hair, your curls will not be tangled while using those styles and plus when you take them out they are really cute!
I love my natural hair, sometimes I stand in the mirror and look at it all day :) but you will only get proper results if you take care of your hair and as you do this, your hair will grow.
P.S don't let anyone tell you that your hair isn't beautiful because it is too curly or nappy lol. your hair is very unique and beautiful so enjoy it as much as you can! :)
