First of all, hi!

I have SUPER dry and damaged hair, split ends, the whole package really, and the irony is that I straighten my hair like once every six months, it's just in my "hair nature" I suppose.
I've tried so many shampoos, conditioners, oils etc, some of them worked but the effects faded after a while. And I'm getting tired of their texture, my hair are the opposite of soft :( Yet they have so much potential! (that's kinda weird to say I know haha) I mean they could be on a Pantene add if they wanted, they're long, thick and look shiny. But again, sooooo dry.

Anywaaaaaay, I would love to hear your recommendations!

xoxo

Split ends can only be fixed by cutting your hair. Otherwise, is look into a good hair mask and sulfate free shampoo/conditioners. Do you use heat at all on your hair? (Besides the straightening 1x every 6 months)

Olaplex!! Look it up, its the best thing ever. Its used when you color your hair but my mom sometimes goes and does treatments in between colors. As for shampoo's I really recommend Pureology and I loveeeeee Rusk hair products. I also love Its a 10 Plus Keratin. Its expensive but a big bottle last me 4-5 months and I use a ton of it for heat styling; thats mainly what I use it for but its a good leave in conditioner, even if you aren't using it for heat. As for the olaplex, I started using it originally because I was going lighter and the bleach was making my healthy hair dry, but now that I've started going back dark, I still ask my stylist for it everytime because it just makes my hair so much healthier. Its different than any other product because its works within your hair to repair, unlike other treatments that just coat the outside of the hair. They have a facebook and instagram and I always love checking out the before and afters! Every stylist charges differently, but mine only charges $10-15. Not sure if you color your hair or not, but to me its the only product I can think of that would fix your issue...

Cut the damage part, use sulfate free shampoo and moisturizing conditioner, a conditioner hair mask once a week, and heat protector when straightening your hair.

Jackie S, no I don't even blow-dry my hair! But I'll look into sulrfate-free shampoo/conditioner, thank you!

Lisa S, I just looked up olaplex and it seems amazing! I don't color my hair but I've been meaning to for the past few weeks so I definitely will buy it, thank you!

Brook A, I don't do coconut hair mask regularly because the effect only last after the shampoo, but I guess I should do them more often to see lasting results!! Anyway thank you!

Aryanna G, I heard castor oil is great for hair growth too? That would be a great side effect haha, anyway thank you I will definitely look into it!

Patty S, do you know any good heat protector? I have to admit I've never use one before..!

I agree, you need to cut all the split ends first. I restored my hair using the Pro Naturals Moroccan argan oil hair repair system as recommended by my hairdresser. Still use it today. 5 shampoos using Optima Tea Tree shampoo & conditioner & 6th shampoo using Pro Naturals shampoo & conditioner but I use the Pro Naturals hair mask once a week and the Pro Naturals Moroccan argan oil leave in treatment after every shampoo/conditioner on damp hair before blow drying & heat styling. This protects my hair from heat damage.
