Does it matter what kind of blow dryer you use, are certain ones more damaging than others?

Personally I find a higher end dryer tends to treat the hair a bit more gently with a more controlled and streamlined flow and they last longer- I've had my Paul Mitchell dryer for YEARS! They're also more ergonomic generally speaking. Hey one with a cold shot setting if you can.
However, I've made use of many hotel hairdryers and as long as you use the right products you can get away with using any hair dryer.
I love Paul Mitchell products because they hold up to their claim of seriously reducing drying time (and allow you to use a lower heat setting from my personal experience). Hailey P. gave the most important piece of advice here which I'll reiterate: thermal protection is a MUST!
Best of luck!
