Hello, what is a good primer and foundation for dry skin? the foundation I currently use (maybelline fit me hydrate + smooth) doesn't last and by the end of the day my skin is flaky and other needs to be reapplied.

I love Too Faced Hangover RX primer and Smashbox Primer oil.
I have dry skin and have had better luck with the Matte+ Poreless foundation. I just apply a good moisturizer under, prime with Too Faced or even ELF Studio Hydrating primer. Then I mix some Becca liquid illuminator with the foundation. The Dewy foundation sat funny on my skin and looked patchy.

I have also mixed my primer oil or my Farsali oil into my foundation. I'm currently using the L'oreal Lumi Foundation.

The best foundation I've tried for dry skin is Nars Sheer Glow... its so natural looking.

What coverage are you looking for? I found what helped me the most was using a sheer-er foundation and a heavier concealer to spot conceal. For primer I love the elf one in the pump bottles. It makes your skin feel velvety and definitely evens out any dry spots I have, and makes it less obvious.

I just started using a new combo and I love it. It's the Makeup forever step one moisturizing primer paired with Loreal pro glow. It looks gorgeous and my super dry skin doesn't look or feel super dry all day:)

Radiance primer from Laura Mercier or the becca backlight priming filter
