Ok so my brother is getting married I'm squared away since I'm a bridesmaid but my mom is having a hard time finding a dress does anyone know any plus size stores or sites that carry special occasion dresses?? we're in texas if that helps a store would be best so she could try it on but if we need to take the chance and order we will.

Do you have a Dress Barn? If not, they have an online store also. This is where I've bought my dresses for every occasion since I was in my twenties (I'm 41 now). They have everything... career clothes, wedding attendee dresses, casual, etc. It's good quality. They have a large plus sized section and the clothes aren't ugly and "old lady" like. LOL They're the only dresses /clothes that fit my body type nicely.

One of my plus-size friends swears by Penny's lmao. Every time I compliment her clothes, that's her response: "Penny's!" 😅

I'm more on the petite side, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt, but my friends like these places:
Penny's, Torrid, Lane Bryant, and Dress Barn, to name a few.

I'll also suggest resale stores, since a lot of people donate event dresses they probably only wore once. Try Salvos, as well as Platos, and any others in your neighborhood. I've also heard of scoring big at David's Bridal on the clearance racks, so check bridal boutiques too.

Dressing for weddings is stressful lol, so I hope this is helpful, and good luck!! ☺️
