I was wondering if you can put concealer on with no base (such as BB cream or foundation). I don't have too many blemishes and I don't like to have to put on layers. And I was wondering how I should set my face. Should I use a powder or just a spray? My makeup looks cakey depending on the concealer and the way I put on powder.

I do it all the time! I can never be bothered for foundation and all that in the morning when I start work at half 7, so I just put concealer on. I use powder on top sometimes, often I'll just leave it on its own.

Spot concealing shouldn't look cakey even with powder if your skin is properly moisturized and the products are a good consistency. What are you using?

I use a gentle face wash at night, astringent, and an acne cream. I moisturize and then go to bed. I use a little astringent in the morning, and moisturize again. I use a pore minimizing primer and use the concealer and then the powder. I don't know if it becomes cakey because I need a better primer or if I sometimes use too much powder. I cut down on the amount recently and it looks better, but it still gets oily too fast.

I'm the same way!! When my skin is clear I feel like it looks better without foundation and I wanna show it off, so normally I just use a extra moisturizing primer ((I like the one from glossier)) and add the concealer and normally spray my face with some sort of spray--like rose water or an actual setting spray. if it's a heavier coverage concealer I use a little bit of translucent powder to keep it from creasing

List of products used, and what do you use to apply your concealer. Also, where are you concealing?

I use the Revlon Photoready primer, Naked Skin Concealer, and Covergirl Clean Matte Loose Powder. I conceal under my eyes and on any problem spots. I use a foundation sponge to blend it out.
