Ok so I first got my ears pierced when I was like six, but after I was able to put post earrings in, they wouldn't go in. My mom was trying a to just push it through and get it over with, but they wouldn't budge. It hurt a lot! Turns out, the ear peircing had gotten infected. I had no choice but to let them close up because there was NOTHING I could do about it:(( so now I'm 13 and a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to try again... And I've been really good about cleaning them until I started lacking when the holidays came up, because it was so busy I would just forget or wouldn't have time! And lately when I do clean them and I push them back and forth or twist them (to get the cleaner in the hole&&s tuff , you know) it would sting a little bit, and it's never done that before, it just recently started. They aren't red, and they aren't very warm, so I'm really confused on what's going on D: please tell me they aren't infected again! Someone help me:/ I need to know if they are! And if they are, what do I do? How can I get rid of it? And how long will it take? Also, if I get rid of it quick enough, can I take them out on my birthday? (January 28) or should I wait? Thank you !!!

Ok they probably aren't infected. Go back to the normal cleaning schedule. Wait until the full 6 months to take them out because then they won't close up.

If they are infected do NOT allow it to close, this can create an abscess. Continue cleaning them every day twice a day and see a doctor for antibiotics if it becomes inflamed.
