Hey everyone - it's been quite a while haha!
I'm a pale one and I wanted to try contouring after getting it done by a friend a little while ago.. I did it fairly lightly, since I'm going out later, but could y'all review it for me?
**NOTE** My face is naturally darker than my neck and the rest of my body, so if my foundation looks slightly darker compared to my neck, that is why! I do blend it lol!
I'd also appreciate any constructive criticism on any other elements to my makeup! I'm going to be studying cosmetology next year, so I'd love any help I can get!
Have a wonderful day, thanks loves!

When I contour and use bronzer my face ends up looking warmer and slightly darker than my neck and chest. So I use a huge brush and dust bronzer on my neck and chest to match it up a bit. I never put foundation past my jawline because I feel that looks obvious and will get on my clothes. A powder bronzer looks more natural because it's not going on a 100% all over your neck and chest skin. It'll look like you got sun there too, not just your face. Wet and Wild has good, cheap contour kits that are big and cheap, so it won't kill your budget using it in a larger area. Higher end brands that make huge bronzers are , Laura Geller, Doris Dalton and It Cosmetics.

Can I start by saying I love your shirt? lol

I think the contour is very subtle and doesn't strike out at me, which I actually enjoy. I prefer a soft contour, myself. You already have lovely bone structure so you're not going to need much to get you there.

I do think that you need a bit more of a shadow..ever so slight...and that would be a bit of grey ...leaning more cool, rather than warm. I hate to recommend something expensive, but a great and certainly more affordable way to get your hands on the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder (which is marvelous for pale people, such as us.) is to grab the new sculpting duo, with includes his BEAUTIFUL Celestial Powder Illuminator in "Candlelight" for $25.
That's the closet to an actual, natural shadow for contouring I've ever used and I'm insanely pale; I do think you'd love it. A little product goes a long way. It blends beautifully, which is a bonus.

Not sure how long the $25 duo will be available, but I know it's new at Sephora and they have it over by the check-out, with all the trial sizes and plastic cubes full of goodies. I was just there the other day so I know they are carrying it in-store. It's universal in that's flattering on everyone. My best friend is olive toned and it suited her just as nicely and so she grabbed it, so heads up to peeps who love the line, but can't normally afford it.

I like that you used a light hand with bronzing, but just in my view, maybe you should skip the bronzing since your face is clearly darker naturally. You're further bringing attention to that difference in color by adding yet more tone to it. Just a suggestion. I'd also carry that foundation color down to the neck and blend it out. You may needs to do a little creative mixing of color to get them to be closer in tone.

That lip is so gorgeous with your beautiful hair color! The eyes look lovely. Great job on such flattering tones and application.

Rozberry, you just reminded me that Benefit is coming out with a new bronzer called Hoola Lite for pale skin. Just an fyi!

Oh, thank you, Marleen! I don't bronze often, but it's always nice to go test and peek what's new; much appreciated. :)

Emma, my pleasure. You look beautiful.

You should match your foundation to your neck and not the color of your face so that its all one color, I can't even tell the difference in your picture though. I'm jealous of your hair!! Great blending skills.

Allison - I've tried. It did not look natural at all, and overall made me look pasty and yellow. My face is yellow toned, but I have natural redness to it. So wearing a lighter foundation made my skin look even more yellow toned, and just didn't look good overall. I currently use a pink based foundation, and color correct any redness on my face with yellow.
