Questions for those who use the Clarisonic Mia regularly...

Hi Kaysey!

I'm totally with Kristin on this one- I never thought my skin was sensitive until I started using the Clarisonic Mia. It was a bit of a process but now I now use it with the delicate brush head 2/3 times a week with the Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Cleansing Milk and it's the perfect combination!

As exciting as it is having a brand new Mia (trust me, I was over the moon!) my advice would be to start out slow and use it less than you think your skin can stand. It's better to build your skin up to using it more often as opposed to going in full force and causing damage.

I'm probably just cautious because I had such a bad experience in the beginning with mine but it really is a fantastic tool and I hope it works out for you!

Hmm, do you think I should go exchange my replacement brush heads for the delicate ones? The sensitive one is on there now and it doesn't appear to irritate my skin in anyway, but it does kind of feel a little harsh I guess.

If your skin isn't irritated I wouldn't worry! If you end up having an issue then you can always cut down on use, try a different cleanser, or switch the brush head. It's really trial and error and paying attention to how your skin feels. In my case, I knew something was up when my skin became dehydrated (my skin felt "tight" and was overproducing oil but still dry and flaking all at once).

If you do decide to try the delicate brush head then try writing to the Clarisonic customer service. I explained my situation to them and they offered to send me the delicate brush head for free!

Yeah, I watched your video! That was super nice of them. I had a similar experience with Sigma, it's nice that companies these days have such awesome customer service. I guess I'm just going to use it once a day for the next few weeks and see what happens.

I saw a video by gossmakeupartist how he purchased the sensitive brush head and it was horrible for him. I think if what you're using right now is fine, you shouldn't change it. :) I love the clarisonic. I don't like washing my face with my hands anymore!

I am haveing some breakouts from it, but i do notice that it gets rid of all my makeup i didnt already get rid of and i have a tighter skin tone

it really does take everything off! even when i use a makeup wipe, wash my face and use a washcloth(not just my hands), and toner, there's still makeup remnants that the clarisonic would've taken off! it's amazing! when I use the clarisonic, there is NOTHING on that cotton ball when I use my toner afterwards.

I got a Clarisonic Plus that I started using last Wednesday. Right now, I am anticipating the purging phase, but it seems like my skin has cleared up (after a totally random breakout earlier last week) within the first couple days of using it. I don't know if its the brush or just the timing though. I do feel like my skin is softer and feels cleaner for longer though. I'm totally excited about being able to add this into my skincare routine =)

Purging is when your skin breaks out for a little while because it's getting rid of all the bacteria and dirt that's deep down in your pores.

UPDATE: Today my boyfriend went in to hug me and he stopped and looked at my face, asked if I was wearing any makeup, and when I told him no, he was like amazed haha. He said my skin looked really clear and nice. Score!
