Do y'all recommend this for really pale skin? I need a new contour kit (:

I have never tried it myself but I have heard amazing things about it! ♡

For fair skin I think you're really only going to get use out of one or two of the contour shades (one being a cool shade for contouring and one being a warmer shade for bronzing but that might be too warm/red/orange depending on how fair you are) and maybe one or two of the highlighting shades (the beige shade and maybe the yellow shade again depending on how fair you are)

Alexis is there a different one you think would be better? (:

Honestly I wouldn't suggest a contour kit if you're going to be the only one using it, and that's coming from someone that used to love the KVD contour kit. Really you only need one contour shade and I suggest either the Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder or the Sephora Colorful Face Powder in Tranquil if you're not willing to spend the money on the Kevyn Aucoin.

I agree with Alexis. the quality of the kvd powders is good, they are soft blendable and moderately pigmented and after a few practice runs have been easy to work with. I enjoy it very much but a whole palette is usually a waste for a single person. I can swatch mine for you, I got it because 1. I tan at least a couple shades just from being out in the sun in the summer and so I end up using the whole range of colors in the thing just on myself and 2. I am trying to get more and more serious with makeup so I've been practicing on friends of different skin tones/types when I can.
for fair skin I really like the kevyn aucoin contour shade. I also really like the inglot contour singles and they have quite a few shades.
if you like to use a matte highlighter you could double your favorite matte brow bone shadow another eyeshadow that is in a shade that works for you.

I love the NYX highlight and contour pallette as well! It does the samd job as the KVD palette and for $20 less! :)

I have the KVD palette, but because I'm so pale really I can only use the two lightest shades (the highlight and contour). I personally contour using that, but so as not to waste the other powders I use them as eyeshadows! But I wouldn't personally recommend buying it, because you won't get so much use out of it. For individual options, I use the Besame Vanilla powder as a matte highlight and the Nars Matte Multiple in Altai for a cream contour (though it may be too warm for you, in which case there's an Illamasqua powder that's good for fair skin contouring - NikkiTutorials featured it in her videos at one point, but I can't remember the name)!

Can't you now purchase refills for the KVD countour kit? you could always try to buy just the shades that you need

That's right Genevieve! I forgot about those. they are a bit more expensive that way but since they are the only shades you need it ends up being less waste in the end.
