What lighting is best for applying makeup?

I am getting a Impressions Vanity mirror soon and they have the choice between three different colored bulbs. Warm White, Soft White, and Bright White. Which bulb do you recommend to give off the most natural lighting to apply my makeup? Sorry I did not know what category to put this in😅

Warm white has a bit of yellow to it and when you do your makeup in that lighting it may look too harsh in natural or fluorescent lighting.

The soft white could be a good option since it's frosted and not as warm/yellow but since the amount of lights can be too bright you may end up applying makeup more heavily.

I'd agree with the bright white ones. I believe those ones are dimmable although it may depend on the model of the vanity (I don't know if they all offer dimmability) so, this one is brighter/whiter but at least it's dimmable so you don't have to worry about accidently doing a more stage makeup type look which is what those Hollywood types of vanity's are meant more for (being on stage, photoshoots, scenarios where lots of light is used etc)

If the model you're getting isn't dimmable then the soft white will work just fine IMO

Can I make a slight suggestion. Whilst I agree with Aurora I do want to say that I thought long and hard about getting an Impressions Vanity. They are just expensive IMO. I made my own vanity by getting westinghouse mirrored lights from amazon and just interchangeably placing warm and cool lights in it to kind balance eachother out. ALSO If you decide not to do a vanity and just get a light instead (this may be expensive as well) but the glamcortec light is fantastic and you can change the settings with just a click of a remote (and it has a selfie station for your phone).

You may have your heart set on the Impressions vanity for your own reasons but I thought I could help by suggesting another (Cheaper) option :) Hope this helps, and good luck!
