I want variety, but I don't want a cheap kit that has crap for colors. A kit that comes with an eyelid primer would be perfect. I'm not really a beginner, I'm pretty comfortable with my skills but I am still young and I don't really want basic colors. A palette with every color light and dark would do me a lot of justice. Help anyone? /:

E.L.F. makes several palettes that are decent with a lot of colors. They also have an inexpensive primer that works well enough. If cost is no issue, look into Inglot or MAC palettes, they can be customized to your tastes. Coastal Scents/Manly/BH Cosmetics sells inexpensive palettes that are praised by novices and professionals alike.
