Are All Wen Products Bad For You?

My employers bought me a whole wen set with the cleansing conditioner, an extra conditioning treatment, anti frizz cream, and some mist product. I'm very hesitant to use it after reading that it had wax in it, and I really like my haircare that I do now. My stylist said if I'm going to try it, don't until there isn't any keritin left in my hair. Other than reading negative reviews that have scared me off, I also don't want to get caught in a cycle where my hair NEEDS wen or similar products. I'm considering selling it on amazon or something. But, do you think it's ok to use the anti frizz stuff? Or is it going to be the same as the other products in terms of my reasons not to use it?

I know some people love it but I am VERY particular with what I put in my hair. I have long, healthy hair that I do not want to ruin.

Like I said, I know people like it, I am not going to use the cleansing products. So if anyone has an answer to my question about the others, I'd appreciate it.

There are at LEAST as many negative reviews as positive and that comes from long term use and consequences, not how your hair physically looks after use. Another way to put it- if I starve myself, I will look thin. But I will not be healthy. So using this product may make my hair look ok at first, but it won't be healthy.

I think if you have a good routine and you like your hair as it is now, you shouldn't risk it. I feel like products such as Wen do get you caught in a cycle where you need to keep up with using the products to keep you hair "normal". I haven't used Wen or anything like it, but from the limited research I've done, it doesn't seem like it would be a good idea for you to risk losing the hair you've got (which is very lovely, by the way!). The best thing to do would probably be to compare the ingredients of the products you're considering using to similar products that you're currently using. If they seem similar enough, maybe they'd be okay, but like I said I wouldn't chance it.

thanks, Courtney! :) for saying my hair is lovely hehe! I'm going to do as much research as possible into the styling products and see what I can find out. I gave the cleansing conditioner to my mom, she said she'd been interested to try it but would never buy it. I told her why I wasn't using it but she wants to give it a shot anyway.

it's amazing how many negative reviews there are. I would be absolutely terrified to use this product!!! hair falling out.. ugh. I'm not touching it and I'm going to show this to my mom and ask her to reconsider using the products I brought home today.

Yeah, stuff like that really freaks me out. Whenever I see something new I always say "Oh I wanna try this!" And then the voice in my head is like "NO DON'T DO IT YOUR FACE WILL FALL OFF". It's always a risk to try something new and with reviews like that, I'd rather wash my hair with a bar of soap.

Oh man. Well you'll have to act like you like it, but not too much otherwise you're gonna be getting the gift of Wen from now on! Lol!

I've been using wen for over 2 years I've never had a problem with it my hair is healthier than it has ever been. I had REALLY bad split ends prior to using wen, after transitioning to only wen products the lady who cuts my hair was shocked at how healthy my hair was even after skipping out on several trims.
