I agree with Laura, they're for different purposes. Hoola is a bronzer so it's meant to add a sun kissed look to the skin. The Shade + Light Palette has a shade for contouring and a shade for bronzing as well as a deeper contouring shade and three highlighting shades.

Contour, but I've heard that the hooks bronzer is matte with a grayish undertone which also works for contouring.

I would go with Kat Von D for contouring... I have both products you mentioned so I swatched them for you L-R Hoola, Kat Von D sombre, Kat Von D subconscious and Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder. I did not swatch Kat Von D shadowplay because I personally don't use that shade to contour I find it to warm. As you can see hoola is warmer than the rest of the powders so I personally don't contour with it but I do use it to warm up my skin, for that it's amazing.

Yeah if its for contouring I would go with kvd. my sis has the hoola and its definitely too warm.
