I'm going to a tap dance workshop and have no idea what shoes to wear. I know a lot of people say wear flat-sole shoes but I think the only ones I have are Converse. Here is a picture of some similar boots I have with a small heel (My sole is less ridged). Please let me know if these are ok and if not what I could possibly wear!!
Thanks so much!

Do you not wear tap shoes to a tap dance workshop?

Do you have a pair of trainers (similar to Nike Free runs?) or a pair of brogues?

I'm confused why wouldn't you wear tap shoes? I danced for over 10 years and I understand wearing normal shoes for a hip hop workshop but for tap that seems odd to me. I'd suggest calling the place you will be going to and ask what they would suggest

I agree with Sarah to call and ask. I've done tap for a few years as well and I've done a few shuffles and whatnot in my regular shoes outside of the studio but I don't think you can properly learn without tap shoes.
