I think this would be the correct place for this question but if not I'm so sorry!
I had what seemed to be an ingrown eyelash the past couple of days. There was a little red bump on my eyelid, & if I touched my eyelashes in the right spot, it felt really sore. I got really close to the mirror & checked out my upper eyelid's waterline, & found an itsy bitsy short lash that was in another little bump. I used my tweezers to pluck it & felt a little bit of relief, but now my eyelid is still sore.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Did I do something stupid?
Am I going to go blind? Lol.
Any comments are welcome, thanks.

It may have been or it could have been a sty. I have never experienced an ingrown eyelash but have had a sty or two and they are like what you described. I would alternate a hot and cold compress to help with the pain.

My eyelid is swollen today. I believe it could be a stye. What do I do about it?

There is meds for it. Go to the eye lane by contacts. Or talk to pharmacist. They will help.

Take a warm washcloth and massage your eyelid with it, change the washcloth every time you do this. Put a little pressure, but not too much. That's actually about all you can do to help it. Try to do it 5x or more a day.

I reckon it's a stye. I get these all the time, I put a hand hot wash cloth on it for 15 mins 3x a day and it's gone by the next day.

If you used any eyeliner or mascara near the area of the stye you will have to throw them away. Styes are very contagious and you'll keep getting them if you don't. Also make sure you thoroughly disinfect any eyeshadow brushes you may have used.

Sounds like a stye for sure, use a seeped green tea bag as a hot compress, works like w charm.

So my mom had Gentimicin Opthalmic ointment! Which is commonly prescribed by optometrists! I'm doing the hot compresses, & putting the ointment on tonight.
thank you guys so much for your advice!
