Haha maybe one reason I dread "spirit" week is because I can't spell it? replace all the sprit with spirit, my apologies.

For Merica day I would be Rosie the riveter, tacky tourist - a big floral shirt. West coast - anything crazy, or beachy. Through the decades - pick and era you like and go with that. Fashion fail - I would go to the goodwill and find something cheap and maybe cut it or add something to it. so it would look like it wasn't completed. I love to watch project runway. and some times their outfits aren't done but they have to send the girls out anyway. I hope this helps.

Like Laura I thought of Rosie the Riveter for Monday but I think a 50's housewife or a poodle skirt (I wanna say that was the 50's also but I can't remember).
For Tuesday you can't go wrong with a Hawaiian shirt, a big hat, and a camera.
For Wednesday I would personally go for an old Hollywood glam look, or something like Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn (the Hollywood sign is what just inspired that train of thought).
Through The Decades is really up to you, I would suggest picking your favorite decade and going for that style.
I can't think of anything for fashion fails, sorry!

I had a couple of those this year. For Merica Monday I wore red white and blue and topped it off with red lipstick. I didn't participate in Tacky Tourist Tuesday but most people brought cameras or binoculars and wore Khaki shorts and Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses. Decades day I would either go for the hippie look with or an 80's look. Fashion fail looks really fun and reminds me of 'Dress in the Dark' so mix colors and patterns.

Monday- tank top with American flag and dark blue skinny jeans
Tuesday - one of your dad's shirts or a long colorful pattern short sleeve shirt tied in a knot
in the front and white jeans with a baseball cap
Wednesday - A black dress with a cute cardigan
Thursday - A movie themed shirt and flannel shirt tied to your waist and black leggings
Good luck!!
