Hey everyone,
Its been a few months now that I have a clarisonic mia. at first I had majorrrr breakouts but then it cleared up. now its been a few weeks that I've been getting some pimples once again. just wondering.. can everyday use be too much for certain people? I havent changed anything other than coming off birth control for 2 months now and my skin is normal/dry.. I feel like my skin gets cleaner but not necessarily better... maybe only use it when I wear makeup? what do you recommend
also, I would like to know what to do about blackheads. I have them on my nose but they are sooo tiny but you can literally see all my pores its just annoying... how to get rid of them??
I also have some questions about pimple scarring... my skin stays red for months and its so hard to get rid of. any inexpensive ways to get rid of the scars? I only use a mild vitamin c serum which isnt so good lol
sorry for the rambling and long post,
any help is appreciated :)

For blackheads, use aspirin and lemon mask, lemon and salt scrub and soap and glory scrub your nose in it!

Absolutely do not use lemon on your face!

I don't know much about the clarisonic , but if your stopping birth control that could be the cause of the break outs. The only thing I can think of to remove the black heads is to use a green clay mask. As for the scaring maybe some fresh aloe gel mixed with some vit e oil.

I think the birth control is a major factor- it fluctuates your hormones and definitely affects your skin when you come off it.
I use my clarisonic at night just to make sure I completely remove all my makeup

It definitely does depend on your skin type when it comes to usage of your Clarisonic. I have used mine twice a day every day ever since I took it out of the box last March and I've never experienced any problem - I never had a purging period, my skin never got flaky, dry & irritated. I have oily skin that's pretty resilient to anything I do to it. Using it twice a day has definitely done wonders for my skin.
For someone with your skin type, I'd probably use it only a couple times a week, probably at night. And as for your blackheads on your nose? Are you sure they're blackheads? They could be sebaceous filaments. I have little dots on my nose and I thought they were blackheads and I was getting angry because "I thought Clarisonics were whizzes at getting rid of blackheads?!" And then I read this: http://www.paulaschoice.com/expert-advice/beauty-buzz/_/how-sebaceous-filaments-work#distinguish
As for your acne scars, try a dark spot treatment or maybe a more potent vitamin C serum? I have some suggestions:
- All of the Olay Regenerist Luminous line. It helps with evening out your skin tone and making your skin glow. Olay anything is A+
- Lumene anything. All of their products contain vitamin C. They have wonderful products.

Sorry everyone I've been trying to reply and it hasnt been working!
Thank you for the responses.
I do think the bc plays a major role but luckily I get to start it today!! hopefully itll make a difference. I'm also going to limit my use of the clarisonic only for days I wear makeup.
and Bailey omg!! I think you're right about the blackhead situation... they do seem to be sebeceous filaments I never knew about them before! thank you so much... at least I know what in dealing with. and I will look for the olay product you mentionned as I can't find Lumene around here!
