What's a good hydrating primer before foundation? My face is so dry and flaky that it makes my foundation look patchy.

I use the hangover rx by too faced and I swear by it! It's so moisturizing & doesn't make skin look flaky!

I agree with Jacqueline but if you want to still use a primer I would choose a water based primer but make sure you use moisturiser too. I have extremely dry skin and flakey too, but to fix this problem I choose to use an oil based moisturiser on my face at night and a water based moisturiser in the morning before primer and foundation, it's also a good idea to wait for the moisturiser to settle into your skin before you apply the rest of your makeup since this could cause other problems in which I have also experienced. Also make sure that your foundation isn't mattifying and that the base of your foundation is water based so that is doesn't react badly with the rest of your makeup products.
