I am trying to decide what to wear with sequin dress for Christmas. It is a vintage 60s white gold sequin dress with a peter pan collar. I don't want to be too dressy. I am going to water it during the day. What are good colors of shoes should I wear with them besides black? Any types of shoes besides pumps?

Anything black will be too harsh. So good to avoid that color in a shoe. I like quirky, unexpected pairings when it comes to styling clothes. What immediately came to mind...a pair of all white Converse low top shoes. Crisp clean white. I wore a pair with a white silk spaghetti strap slip dress and a fitted distressed Levis denim jacket that hit just above my hips to a movie premier 15 years ago. I think I was the most comfortable person there shoe wise. If that is too left field for you...ballet flats in either white leather or even gold would look pretty nice. And also comfy on the feet. ;)
