My hair curls perfectly. I only have to curl my hair one time and it stays for days. I can sleep in my curls and they still look like they did when I did them days ago. My problem is straightening. I have to go over my hair several times and I gotta re-do it like every day or every few hours. Is there anything that I can put in it to hold the straightness? Or is my hair just weird? Im half Puerto Rican half white. Idk if that makes any difference. My hair is thick and kinda coarse.

You can use a straightening shampoo and conditioner. Also they make products you can put in when your hair is wet

I tried Suave Keratin shampoo but my hair still curled/waved back up after like a day of straightening. :/ I also tried Frizz Ease or however you spell it the heat protecting spray and it says it keeps it straight but didnt work. Grrr.

Using a styling aid will help best, one of my favorites is the Moroccan oil. If your hair is more dry they also have a styling cream that helps tame the frizzyness. A little goes a long way with these type of products. Good luck!

Kerastase oleo relax slim is amazing for straightening. It's only available in certain salons. A little goes a long way, it has heat protectant and anti humidity in it. My favorite thing to do with it is mix it with an oil, makes it easier to apply and gives extra moisture to the hair.

I use Straight Sexy Hair. its a product for wet hair. I first used it in my cosmetology class and fell in love. my hair is naturally curly, and I only have to touch it up in the mornings. if I don't, it has some extra body that I absolutely love some days :) hope this is helpful

Make sure that you straighten your hair in sections. I personally do the under side, middle, and. Then the top layer to make sure everything is perfectly straight.

I eyeball the Straight Sexy Hair all the time but Im hesitant to use it, but now that someones suggested it I might give it a try. Same with the CHI and Kerastase. I gotta do my research. :)

Use a good heat protectant. I use redken iron silk 07. My hair is naturally kinda curly and frizzy. It makes my hair soooo smooth and soft.

@Allison W it is worth it, I'm also going to be getting the spray to protect my hair from the heat of the straitner

Omg this was meant for me! I am puerto rican to and my hair is really ethnic and frizzy! I have to straighten my roots by the front of my face allot because it gets curly fast. Any moisture will mAke your hair go back to normal. I would try products like frizz ease hair serum to make the hair last. Also do macadamia deep repair mask at home Once a week to eliminate frizz.

Actually you need to get the brazilian keritin treatment, it eliminates most frizz and your natural curl

Brush it before you straighten it, not after. If you brush your hair after you straighten it it might just frizz out again.
