I used Clinique's Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and loreal lumi for the highlight. I was wondering if my contour is too dark and if it should be higher up. Thank you.

Your highlight is great! The only thing I would say is blend your contour out a little bit more. I also think it should be just a tad bit lower, more under your cheekbone since your trying to accentuate that.

*Just my opinion, I say none of this to offend you!

Definitely not offended! Thank you for your opinion. Do you think the contour should be thinner?

I prefer to apply the product thinner and maybe less than half my cheek, and then I would blend it with a brush with no product on it and bring it down a tad or make it wider by just blending:). Love your brows btw😍

Hi! If I were you, I think your contour needs blended more, and maybe down a little and a little thinner. Apart from that, highlight looks ace! Just my opinion of course X:)

And do you own a beauty blender? They're good for blending x

The contour like looks a little too orangey (could be the lighting) I'd suggest a more cool toned contour. It also needs to be blended out a little more in my opinion (it looks as if you drew a line on your face) with a little more blending, you can easily fix that 😊 The highlight share is great, but it looks a little packed in in my opinions and doesn't blend seamlessly together. Could also be fixed with more blending and maybe a little less product next time 😊 Hope that I help! If you like it, don't worry about my opinion! I am just giving constructive criticism:)

That's the right color it's hard to work with cool toned bronzers if you're woc because it'll appear very ashy just keep blending until you don't see any harsh lines you can also sharpen your contour by adding a setting powder right underneath the bottom of your contour and you can also get rid of harsh lines by setting your face with a pressed powder foundation that's the same color as your liquid foundation! Hope that helps! 😊

For me it needs blending and a shorter line...not that far to your mouth...the colour if it is blended well I don't think it will be bad...

I think a little more blending should do the trick & also for contouring I've learned that you need to find something with a grey undertone or else it'll look more unnatural because it'll be so orange. But practice makes perfect & you're beautiful :)

I may get some flack, but here is my 2 cents. There are so many tutorials, tips and photos of women with in my opinion overly done contour & highlight. Either due to wrong color, improper placement, too much product, not enough blending and even too much blending, where the contour starts to spread out too high or too low or both. Now I know everyone has their own style. Some like a natural look, some like a heavier look & some like the drag queen look. I blame the media. Most women you see with all this overly done contour, highlight, baked faces & false lashes and such are being photographed or on the small or big screen. This type of makeup seems to be becoming the norm and girls are starting with this look at such an early age. I'm not against young girls wearing makeup but all this "stage makeup" on an everyday basis is very sad and unnecessary. I prefer a natural look on an everyday basis and will go a little heavier at night, special occasions & when I know I'm going to be professionally photographed. Again, my preference only, not right or wrong. I like a light contour, whereas you can't quite be sure if I'm wearing contour. My contour should only be noticeable to me because I know what I look like without it. All this said, I like to apply a thin line of powder contour with one brush then use a slightly fluffier brush to carefully blend it out. Not this fast back & forth motion I see everyone doing. I usually will dab and press with short strokes up only into the hairline. Making sure not to extend it down past the corner of my eye (not too close to the mouth) and making sure it doesn't blend out too far up on the cheekbone and not too low on the face. If it's not blending well with this method, then I've applied either too much or the wrong color. Here is an example of what I consider beautiful contour where you notice the woman's beautiful bone structure as opposed to her beautifully applied contour.

Marleen I agree with quite a few things you said. Thank you for the tips!! I hate how unnatural my contour can end up no matter how I try lol. Kammy, I just think you could keep the line shorter like further away from you mouth/center of the face and it'll look perfect!
