Bought a foundation recently and I just noticed that it is a little too light for me. How can I take it down a notch?

If you have a darker powder more of your skin color or a bronzer that can help worlds. Just put the foundation on with a light hand so it'll spread more out on your face and then with the powder you can use it as a setting powder or powder on top which is what I usually do because I generally use concealer lighter than my face to help cover dark circles and everything and I find then I find my face looks ashy or pale and then when I use the powder it evens out really well.

I know Make Up For Ever has these little droppers that allow you to alter the colour of a foundation. They have one for darkening foundations.

@Madison J. Don't really think that's appropriate.

CoverFX has the custom cover drops that are great for that.
Also, a powder that's your color would work great too.

You can use a bronzer to warm up the color. Or like me when I also bought a too light shade. I went back & purchased the correct shade. And I use both. Instead of the thick light concealer girls apply for the 'triangle of light". I dot on the lighter foundation on the "triangle" & then dot on the correct shade all over the rest of my face. And carefully blend for a more natural, subtle everyday highlighted look. I find a thick concealer in that very mobile area of my face very masky looking. Concealer does give a more flawless look, but most of the time truly flawless skin doesn't look natural. My opinion only.

I use the CoverFx Custom Cover Drops. And MAC Mineralized Skin Finish powder also works nicely with a foundation that I have that is too light as it oxidizes and after I apply the powder.
