Hii all,

so I'm having some issues on how to do my foundation correctly...

skin type: oily to mix

Started using Kikos mouse foundation for oily sky, but it rubs of on my scars and jumpers... any tips are welcome.
I have really dark circles under my eyes, any tips on how to make them fade away.

Thanks

Hi liane, using a primer, then the foundation followed by a powder and/ or setting spray should reduce the transfer of the product.
To cover up dark circles, try using a concealer with good coverage, and if that's not enough put a colour corrector underneath the concealer. to get rid of the dark circles permanently, what has really helped me is getting enough sleep, drinking plenty of water and using a sort of eye gel that comes as a roll - on which is really cooling and refreshing on the eyes, I think it was mainly the regular 7-8 hours sleep bit though that did the trick for me, however it took about a year!

There is no right or wrong way, it's really all about preference. Do you prefer a sponge applicator for foundation or a brush? Do you like to powder your foundation? That's good for oily skin, I'm dry and I still use lots of powder haha. It really comes down to finding products that work for your skin type and which way of applying your products you use.

I agree that there is right or wrong way. Just what works best for you. I have oily skin, I find that having a good skincare routine helps. I use a beauty sponge and powder my tzone (:

Definitely agree with no right or wrong way - but if you notice it's transferring to your clothes then I also agree a translucent powder and setting spray can help - but also just blending out your foundation too or even taking a tissue and blotting it after it has set to take off excess product - or just use less product - start with a small amount (like less than the size of a pea for your whole face) then build it up if needed or just use concealer - dark circles are best tackled with a color corrector under your concealer and you should get a peach one for purple circles and a yellow one for blue circles or a pink one for brown circles - hope that helps!
