Has anyone tried these lipsticks? And if you have photos of swatches please share!
Also, I have heard lots about how Kylie has been producing the SAME formula as ColourPop's lipsticks as well as using the same lab so you're essentially paying an extra $10-$15 on lipsticks just because her name is on it. Has anyone tried out her recently launched kits and noticed a change in quality?
Last but not least would you pick the Kylie Lip Kit or Jeffree Star?
Thanks in advance ladies 😊

I haven't tried either of them as well. Although like alexis I have heard amazing things about kylie lip kit. But you most use it well as apparently it is quite expensive

I have a few (4) Jeffree star liquid lipsticks and I like them. I will not buy more from his brand as I do not want to support his actions, but I do like the 4 colors I have.
I have not used the Kylie lip kits but have also heard the talk about them being the same as Colourpop.

Which actions are those, Sabrina? Sorry, I must be out of the loop.

Hi Kerri-Ann I don't want to get into all that on here but if you Google jeffree star controversy you will find lots and lots of videos and writing about it all.

I have 3 jeffree star lips and they are my favorite (maaaaybe tied with makeup monsters) formula. I have zero issues with them. but I am with sabrina here. I supported him since he was making music on myspace and I was so happy for all his success. he's always had some attitude that I've forgiven but recently it's a whole nother person in my opinion.
I have only tried one Kylie lip kit since it was reformulated (I didn't want to spend the money so I mooched my sisters) so I can't give a fair assessment of the entire line but the one I tried seemed very similar to colourpop. I haven't compared ingredients yet but they both wear the same for me. my colourpops aren't perfect but I do really like them. 14 of the 15 colors I have to on perfectly and don't bleed. they do get dry and crackly at times but not every time I wear them (I think I've narrowed it down to more water exposure causing this so they wouldn't be waterproof). Kylie's got dry on me when I wore it and cracked. neither touched up well. I had to remove the entire lip and reapply but they aren't the kind of formula you need oil to remove, a makeup remover wipe does just fine so it's not a big hassle. they both lasted most of the day and only faded when I ate. they both dried completely without stickiness. the only colourpop color I ever have issues with is more better. even lax is completely cooperative. neither are bad lippies, and kylies isn't the only one that is close to colourpop quality for a higher price. to be fair.
out of the two brands I think jeffrees is more quality from my short experience.

When applying my colourpop it applies a bit patchy and it definitely does not last all day/throughout eating and drinking. It's a nice lipstick however for $6 you get what you pay for.
My Kylie Lipkits apply evenly and will last me all day without having to retouch.
Drying out wise I would say they both are the same, however I don't necessarily think they are the same formula.
Top search is koko K and bottom swatch is candy K.

Dana, when did you purchase your Lip Kits? I really hope they aren't the same formula because I've been dying to get Kylie's product but I definitely don't want to waste my money.

Jeffree definitely

I haven't tried Kylie's kits yet, but love colourpop and Jeffery stars formulas. As someone who is constantly drinking water or soda, and a smoker (bad habits I know), the staying power is pretty awesome.

I purchased candy K in February and koko k in March :)
I understand, it came to $38 with shipping and tax however I fully do not regret my purchase because I do feel they are better!

Colourpop and Kylie lip kits are the same formula. 😊 Stephanie Nicole outlines this side by side comparison of ingredients in one of her videos. Even the liners are colourpop!

Kylie's are better than Colourpop. I have both, and even though Stephanie Nicole compared ingredients, she did say that different fillers and order of ingredients could cause a small impact. Speaking from experience it's a big enough impact to notice a difference in the long lasting wear.
Jeffree's are great, not as drying as Kylie's and just as pigmented. The only issue is that it's not as long lasting as Kylie's. They last long enough though and don't look bad when you touch up. I've work JS for about 5 hours and Kylie's for 8
