Do you pat on your powder products or swipe them on?

Try a primer maybe?

Yikes! You should only be exfoliating once a week, twice at the most! You should also be using a serum and moisturiser to make sure your skin is prepped for makeup, and then you be using a pore filling and smoothing primer. Also, make sure that all your products work together, if you use a water based primer and an oil based foundation your makeup will separate.

It could be because that area of your face isn't as smooth as the rest of your face and has more 'texture" to it. I find using a tiny bit of a smoothing primer on it like the Porefessional and put as little as possible of foundation over it. Use less foundation on those areas than the rest of your face. Make sure you wait til it sets before you powder it. And when you do powder it, don't use too much. Preferably, use a small, soft, flat brush to tap it on. Then make sure the powder sets before brushing any other product on. And if you're going to apply anything over it, tap lightly, you don't want to disturb the problem area. Again, the less product on that area, the better. Now, to address the problem itself. You may want to integrate a retinol treatment cream or lotion to cumulatively smooth out the textured skin over time. Go slowly with retinols. Use little to start with, until your skin becomes used to it. Lots of people are sensitive to retinols and it can burn your skin, if you're not used to it. You can also use either glycolic or lactic acid toners or pads to help smooth the skin. Always do patch tests first.

I do use porefessional as primer, and I always dap on foundations/powders. it's a 'mild' scrub Ashley, it's supposed to be used 2-3 times a week, it helps with my scarring on the cheeks and forehead. Thank you Marleen, some useful tips:) and I always use moisturiser before makeup, I don't know how people don't do it

This can actually be due to over exfoliation.
When you exfoliate too much, it smooths out the skins texture too much and product can't stick to it as good which is why it sorta slides around in patches even when you've set it.
This can also be due to a foundation that was applied too thick in that area and/or not set properly OR when you set it, you used a powder brush to wipe off excess and weren't... Gentle enough. This would happen to me when it dust off excess powder to REALLY get it off but it'd smudge like that so I just dust off excess powder very lightly and if I still see powder I just use some fix+ to get rid of that extra powder/powdery look

Oh, and if you're using Porefessional, that could be a factor as it's very thick/silicone based and can make your foundation seem... Thick.
Make sure your primer and foundation have similar bases as well.

That's from rubbing your makeup on. Try purchasing a beauty blender! Put the foundation on the back of your hand and dab your beauty blender in it. Then DAB it on your face.

Even a mild scrub should only be used 2x a week, max. Try using an AHA or BHA exfoliater instead. Paula's choice has some great ones that have really helped my acne scarring. You can use them daily or you can use a weekly treatment. It also helped me with some slight texture issues, but my problem was mainly scars.
