My hair has always been pin straight and it will never stay curly for more than 30 minutes. I've tried everything. I hate using hairspray because my hair will feel like a bag of chips and just won't look good. Any tips?

There are so many tutorials I've seen on instagram to make hair curly. most of them consist of twisting the hair around something, like pipe cleaners or a shirt rapped around your head, and the trick seems to be to sleep with it in overnight.

It's probably because you have low prosperity hair, it's where the hair cuticles all lady down flat. It doesn't soak in product like medium or high prosperity hair where the cuticles are open

That's probably why your hair feels crunchy when you apply hair spray
