I don't live in America but I watched a video (by Niki and Gabby I believe) about their horrible ulta experience, have a look for it on YouTube. It might have just been that salon and those stylists but yeah :) x

I asked this a long time ago and the answers I got are basically that it's hit or miss depending on where you are, some salons are great and others not so much.

I got a haircut 2 years ago, I hated it. I asked for this haircut. The stylist was very friendly, I asked if she thought I could pull off the haircut, she said of course, she explained to me that she was going to use the razor to get that texture. When the girl was about to finish she told me she didn't have her razor with her, so I left the salon with a round haircut. Some how it bothered me that the stylist didn't have their stations set up, I noticed that if they needed something, they took it out from their bag, also it bothered me that they didn't have their licences post some where.

I've been three times. I liked it! It's pretty cheap too, about $40. I had good haircuts there and the stylists were nice however next time I get my hair done I am going to be switching places because I'm going somewhere my friend goes.

I wouldn't be too nervous. I don't really see why it's different than any other salon. The stylists are still certified so I don't see the big difference. :)

It's just like any other chain store. It depends on the stylist. Everyone is different. I get my hair done at Ulta by the same person every time and I'm always happy with it.
